The Irving Elementary School in Highland Park wanted to create a special place in an under utilized courtyard. A Certified Wildlife Habitat was designed and installed with the help of the Highland Park Environmental Commission and the local community. The space included nesting areas, food and water sources for native wildlife, water runoff management, and a composting area. Planting day brought together students, teachers and community members and has encouraged green living throughout the town.
